Handlebar control
Retains the BMW six-button handlebar control for the supported radio functions.
BMW K1200LT radio integration
The AJL Mark 7 G6FGO Blue Series iBus Radio Interface allows selected aftermarket radios to work with the original BMW K1200LT handlebar controls and dashboard display.
Designed and assembled in Gloucestershire. Approximately 300 modules supplied.
The module
The BMW K1200LT uses its own iBus communications system. Ordinary steering-wheel-control adapters do not understand the motorcycle’s controls, display or original radio arrangement. The AJL module was developed specifically to bridge that gap.
It listens to the BMW iBus, interprets the motorcycle’s radio-control messages and sends the appropriate commands to the selected aftermarket radio. It also emulates the BMW radio on the bus so that the motorcycle continues to recognise a radio module.
What it does
Retains the BMW six-button handlebar control for the supported radio functions.
Provides display information through the motorcycle’s original dashboard arrangement.
Software variants support selected JVC, Kenwood and Alpine radios, plus some resistor-ladder control systems.
The original BMW CD changer audio can be routed to the aftermarket radio’s auxiliary input where required.
Approximately 300 units have been supplied, with no reported module failures.
Software releases, instructions and supporting documents can be obtained from the downloads page.

Compatibility
The interface is intended for BMW K1200LT motorcycles equipped with the original BMW radio-control system. Radio compatibility depends on the exact make, model and control method.
The correct software build must be used. A carrierless or inverted control signal intended for one radio family may not be suitable for another.
Installation
Installation depends on the radio and the equipment already fitted to the motorcycle. The download area is arranged to hold the current installation guide, connection information and release notes.
This site does not publish a universal connection diagram because an incorrect connection or software selection could damage equipment. Use the instructions supplied for your particular module and radio.
